It is therefore Degreez Global Resources’ policy that staff may not bring to or consume alcohol or any unlawful drugs in the workplace during work time or during a period prior to work where the effects may carry over to the workplace. This includes business functions where the employee is representing the Company. Special rules may apply in relation to alcohol, where the Company sponsors an event for staff e.g. the Christmas party. In these circumstances any variation to the no-alcohol policy will be communicated in advance of the event.
Where a breach of these rules occurs, but it is established that an alcohol or drug abuse related problem exists, and the member of staff is willing to co-operate in referral to an appropriate service and subsequent treatment, the Company will suspend application of the Disciplinary Procedure and provide assistance as described above. Staff who do not comply with the treatment suggested or continue to abuse alcohol or drugs will be subjected to the application of the Disciplinary Policy by suspension.
DEGREEZ GLOBAL operations are running in line with its Nigerian Content and Sustainability policy.
DEGREEZ shall, in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Development Act 2010, endeavour to maximize the utilisation from Nigerian sources of services, manpower, materials, and equipment required for its successful operations.
The Nigerian Content Policy of DEGREEZ GLOBAL covers the following elements:
- The deliberate development of Nigerian content as a vital element in the execution of its contracts.
- Continuous capacity building in specialised areas through training on –one mentorship.
- Training employees and creating developmental paths and programmes to facilitate knowledge transfer for local resources.
- Deliberate utilization of Nigerian goods and services by providing full and fair opportunities for Nigerian indigenous CONTRACTORs and services.
- Co-operations, interface and partnership with Clients, Government, Partners, and relevant NGO to boost local content.
DEGREEZ GLOBAL is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace by supplying reliable equipment, complying with all statutory and industry regulations, and preventing pollution throughout our operations.
We engage competent personnel and ensure all employees, contractors, and stakeholders receive full HSE orientation to promote safe behaviour and teamwork. We actively identify workplace hazards and reduce risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP), while supporting the health and welfare of our workforce through preventive and corrective occupational health measures. We also foster peaceful, respectful relationships with host communities and contribute to meaningful development initiatives.
This policy is continually reviewed to reflect current operational realities and regulatory requirements, and compliance with its provisions is mandatory for all involved in our operations.
